Disabled parents often
encounter challenges – both practical and attitudinal. This issue features
some examples of how parents are working effectively to meet such
challenges.
We are very sorry to say goodbye to two members of staff this
summer. During the past four years Coral Jepson's contribution to
DPPi has been outstanding. In addition to
her work as one of the information officer team, Coral
commissioned articles for the DPPi journal
and serviced the editorial advisory board; recently she
developed a project on information for parents with
visual impairments. She will be sorely missed, as will Susan
Moore, Disabled Parents' Support Worker, who worked jointly for
Disabled Parents Network and DPPi. Over three years Susan provided
support to disabled parents, where her practical and sensitive approach
to advocacy enabled her to make a difference to the lives of many people.
We thank them both and wish them well in their future careers.
