T8 - One-handed parenting: a practical guide for new parents
Contains information on various aspects of baby care for one-handed parents, including lifting and carrying, nappy changing, feeding, going out and about, bathing and bedtime. For each task area, the guide suggests things to consider and also offers practical tips and equipment ideas. The guide is aimed at parents who need to carry out tasks with one hand, and may also be useful for health professionals supporting one-handed parents. (April 2009). Price £6.00.

A guide to help health professionals from a range of settings work effectively with new deaf mothers and their partners. This guide gives health care professionals an idea of how to ensure services are accessible to deaf parents. Guide to pregnancy and childbirth for deaf parents
This innovative DVD for deaf parents and
parents-to-be is presented in
British Sign Language with sub-titles and voice-over, and with
supplementary leaflets. Commissioned by DPPI, these
resources have
been produced by deaf production company, Remark! The
development of these resources was deaf-led and parent-led with
the input of a
wide range of health professionals. It is envisaged that
they will be used by deaf parents and professionals working with
