Guide to pregnancy and childbirth for deaf parents
This innovative DVD for deaf parents and
parents-to-be is presented in
British Sign Language with sub-titles and voice-over, and with
supplementary leaflets. Commissioned by DPPI, these
resources have
been produced by deaf production company, Remark! The
development of these resources was deaf-led and parent-led with
the input of a
wide range of health professionals. It is envisaged that
they will be used by deaf parents and professionals working with

DPPI produces a series of informative guides of use to disabled parents and health professionals in the UK. These guides are free to disabled people. A small charge is made to others to help cover costs. Most guides are available in print (14pt), large print (18pt), audio (tape or CD) and Braille. Other formats are specified under individual publications above. We are working towards making more of our guides available electronically.
