Disability and Children's services/Social Services

My daughter has learning difficulties and a referral was made to Children's Services. Nothing has been done yet, but the Midwife keeps on pushing the situation and, actively got the referral re-submitted to Children's services,

I am concerned that they may choose to remove the child from my daughter's care and wondered under what circumstances they could actually do that.

Although the referral was for additional support, something feels "off" and it is concerning,

Not sure how to feel or what to do.... Any thoughts please.
