Visit our shopHelp for professionals
We encourage you to use all parts of this site in order to gain the most benefit. Whether you want to find information, ask a question or share your experiences and ideas, this site can help you. Looking for training? Read here.
Find information
On this site you will find a wealth of articles outlining, among other things, parents’ experiences, examples of good practice, reviews of books, equipment and other resources. Go to Find information, and use the search filters to identify articles that are of relevance to you.
Publications
Our resources are of use to both disabled parents themselves and professionals and organisations supporting disabled parents. We have developed a number of resources specifically for those supporting disabled parents and these can be found in our shop.
Ask the community
You do not have to be a disabled parent to ask a question. If you are can’t find what you are looking for, ask the community for an answer. And of course we all benefit when someone answers a question. This site will benefit most when our users contribute knowledge and expertise to help each other.
Share your experience
If you have used a resource that you found useful, please write a review to share your findings with others.
If you have an example of good practice to share, we invite you to do that here.
Training
We offer training on understanding and meeting the needs of disabled parents. If you would be interested in booking us for a training session, please contact us with details of what you are looking for and we will be happy to discuss options with you.
We are currently working on producing an introductory online training module on disabled parenting for professionals and student professionals. If you would be interested in being informed about progress on this, or in providing us with input on what you would want covered, please let us know.
